Get ready with me: A Galentines Valentine

So, one of my favorite holidays is tomorrow, Valentines day! Bring on the cheesy dates, the excessive amounts of roses, and the chocolate covered hearts, and the over sized teddy bears. This Valentines day, I'm calling it "Gal-entines day", because yes of course the bff's need lovin' too! I have decided to bring you into my getting ready process as I head out to my girls get together. All products used are listed below.

First, I like prepping my skin with a nice primer (not pictured) just to set the face for the foundation. For foundation I have stuck by my L'Oreal true match for the longest, as I truly believe its one of the best drugstore foundations. On the higher end of foundations, my go to would be the Dior Forever. They both honestly leave your skin flawless with a full coverage. To apply my foundation, I like using my Real Techniques stippling brush or the Sonia Kashuk kabuki brush. They are very affordable, and of great quality!

(I apply my concealer creating a triangle shape under my eyes)

(Blend, blend, blend your concealer. To do this, I use a blending sponge)

(Always apply bronzer to the hollow parts of your cheeks. I like to put bronzer on my temples, chin, and lightly on the outsides of my nose creating a soft contour)

(Always blend out your crease color to evenly match with your base color)

After my foundation is set in, I move on to concealer, bronzer, and setting powder. I love to set my concealer with a translucent powder as it provides full coverage throughout the day without having your concealer crease (major pet peeve!). Next, I move right along to eye shadow. This look is my everyday look, by the way. I take my naked basics with me everywhere I go. I like to apply a light base color, and then smoke out the crease with a warmer tone. I make sure to blend out the shadows with a good blending brush, no one wants harsh lines!

(Eye liners with a felt tip such as this one, help create the perfect cat eye without mess)

(I like to apply my Buxom Mascara first to add volume, then apply another coat of the Pur Big Lash mascara to maximize length - since the Pur mascara is infused with argon oil)

(When I fill in my brows, I like to lightly fill in any little gaps I may have-ladies please don't over do this part!)

Moving on to eye liner, (my favorite part!), I ALWAYS like to wing out my liner whether it be for an everyday outing or a special occasion. I just feel like a nice winged cat eye can do so much for your look! After I have perfected my liner, I go on to mascara and I usually take my time with this. Then, its on to the brows! I have thick eyebrows, and many often ask if they are filled in. I like to use all Anastasia brow products as they really serve the purpose for flawless eye brows. Great shaped brows are everything ladies!

(I always like to mess a little with my hair after I have finished ironing it, just to give it that extra volume and messy look)

On to hair, my everyday look is really simple. I don't get too complicated with my hair, and since I cut it short it requires less maintenance. I usually brush it out first, then use my favorite hair iron ever (listed below) as it leaves my hair looking sleek and shiny all day without creating frizz.

After all my face & hair is completed, I finish up by applying my go to nude lipstick, and spritz on one of my favorite scents ever Coco Chanel! I can never leave the house without perfume on.
