His & Hers: Cooking On Valentines

Welcome back to another edition of the His & Hers series! It's been about two months or so since the intro to this series, crazy how time flies. I know I promised a once a month post into this series (which the promise still stands, by the way) But, the last two months have been nothing but crazy - in a good way. Andy transitioned into a new job, and I began the second to my last semester in college. It's been two months filled with change and new adjustments (especially to our schedules) but they are nothing but the best for our futures! We really look forward to continuing this series, bringing you on our adventures, and creating more content together - like this valentines post!

This may sound super cliché (it's okay to get cheesy on vday) but it always seems like a valentines day for us. If you ever wanted to meet a male version of myself, I'd be more than happy to introduce you to Andy! I guess that's why they call them soulmates right? So, on this post we wanted to share a little part of us that we have discovered to enjoy very much - cooking together! If you're not in the mood to go out on this special occasion with packed restaurants (because lets be honest, who is?) cooking at home together is a great alternative.

Andy loves breakfast, so we opted out from a romantic dinner to bring you some of our favorite morning dishes that include his "world famous" oatmeal recipe (as he likes to call it)

I have never been a huge fan of oatmeal, I somehow grew some disgust towards it for some random reason. But, after some months of convincing, and receiving endless morning snap chats of him in the kitchen bribing me while he made his oatmeal, I gave in and gave it a try and wow I'm so happy I did!

Andy has listed all ingredients below, however; there are no exact measurements to his oatmeal recipe - he likes to say, "I just eye it".

What you will need:
- Oats
- 1 mini bottle of almond milk (he prefers Silk unsweetened vanilla flavored)
- Himalayan Pink Sea Salt
- 1 Spoonful of Crunchy Peanut Butter
- 1 Banana
- Table spoon of syrup
- Berries (blueberries + strawberries)
- Chocolate Chips or White Chocolate Chips

Just a little tip: the oatmeal is best enjoyed when its warm straight out of the microwave

One of my favorite things to eat for breakfast is pancakes with iced lattes, so I whipped up some chocolate chip pancakes for the win (I think Andy inhaled them in a matter of 5 seconds) and he made some cafecito on ice. as we like to call it.

Until next post,

XO

I wanted to round up some of my favorite in shower essentials that I cannot live without.

My shower time always ends up turning into my thinking time where most of my ideas are generated from. I'm actually a bigger fan of baths instead of showers - they are just so relaxing.
