Oversized Long Sleeve Tshirt c/o Go Jane (I'm wearing a small) | Corset Belt c/o Go Jane

Who actually thought corsets would be a trend? I finally got around to blogging about one of my favorite (& most flattering) looks thus far. It's so simple, yet so effective!

A couple months back I posted this photo on my Instagram styling one of these lace up corset belts thinking I probably looked somewhat ridiculous wearing something that looked like a "waist training belt" but....I was wrong (in my opinion of course). But, who cares what they say right?!

Styling an over sized top and pairing it with a corset belt does wonders, ladies. If you're into tricks that will give the illusion of a smaller waist line, this is definitely an idea to run with. When styling a corset, I personally like to wear something a little more baggy and over sized. By doing that, once the corset is on it'll cinch perfectly where it needs to.  As for myself, I'm always very attentive to details in clothing that will flatter my body. For this specific post, I just wanted to focus on the top half, but I love wearing this type of look with some over the knee boots (since I am petite, OTK boots is the trick to spidery long legs).

Over time you start learning tips and tricks in clothing that will flatter your figure. These are just some that work for me.

5 ways to a more motivated you with Reebok

It's been such a honor working on this incredible #perfectnever campaign with Reebok for the past three months. I believe it has such a positive and empowering message for women who believe reaching or being perfection is essential.

It's the start of 2017 and it's no secret that everyone begins the year on a new slate with new wants and goals. So, on today's post I wanted to share 5 ways that I motivate myself to achieve everything I want. These are just the 5 essential ones that I have learned and because of past experiences have led me to believe these are the ones that work for myself.

As I'm sure we are always on the run and busy, investing in yourself (in your goals, aspirations, and future endeavors) is a must. Most of us are always looking after everyone else, but sometimes we tend to forget about ourselves.

Set the vibe! Only you can control your own happiness. Our day is usually navigated by how we personally feel in the mornings. Don't let negativity take you over.

Find your love and passion. Some of us find it early, and some of us are still trying to find it. I've always been the one who knows since the start what my niche was. Once you find your true passion, dedicate time to it. Many magical things can occur because of that.

Sometimes this is hard because of the type of society we live in today. But with that said, do not worry about what everyone else is doing. Comparison is never healthy for our personal wealth, and maybe if more people in this society focused on themselves and their own situations many things would occur differently. Work silently, and let your success speak for it self.

Goals, goals, and more goals! Without dreaming, there's no goal placement. What drives you to the "next big thing"? Set your standard! I always believe not currently having what you really want should be motivation itself. Goal digger, goal hustler, goal driven.... call it what you'd like. But, in other words... Go get it.

Until next post,

Soft Sultry Eyes with Maybelline

Today's post is a beauty post alongside Maybelline (some of my favorite type of content to create is beauty, but it's also some of the hardest type to get together). All the products used are available at drugstores, and are affordable.

For this look, I used their newly launched 24 Karat Nudes Palette to create a romantic soft sultry eye that is really easy to recreate!

For the base shadow I applied the iridescent soft brown shadow (top row - 4th shade). Then I went ahead and on the outer V of the eye lid, I applied a darker chocolate brown (bottom row - 5th shade). I applied this color with a blending brush to make sure everything blended out properly. I also took this color a bit into the crease area for some dimension.

This palette has 12 (all) shimmering sultry shades and I love the formula of these shadows. They are not only long lasting, but the color pay off is great as well.

This step is probably the hardest in this whole eye look if you aren't familiar with winging out your liner. But, don't fret! The Master Precise Liquid Ink Pen Liner has been one of my favorites for a very long time. When I first started learning how to wing out my liner, I always used this specific product! The fact that it's in a pen form, and it has a detailed sharp felt tip just makes the process a lot easier.

The tip of this liner is so thin that helps you navigate exactly where you want to wing to start and end. For this specific look, I wanted to keep the liner thin, simple,  and only on the outer edge. This is definitely one of my signature looks you can always catch me wearing.

Lastly, I always apply mascara. I first like to curl them (just to enhance) and then apply my Colossal Big Shot Express mascara. This was my first time trying this mascara and I loved it! I am personally a huge fan of mascaras, so I'm always testing the market for new ones; high end and drugstore finds.

Naturally I do have a lot of lashes, but I always add falsies to enhance them and with just applying two coats of this I really felt like I did not need my false lashes for that extra detail.

Until next post,

Xo
