Spring showers bring may flowers....and so that has been true here in Miami recently. Rain and cold fronts have embarked us Miamians, and so that could only mean one thing...Welcome Spring!

I wanted to keep this post simple, and casual because just like on rainy days, all I want to do is crawl under the covers and get cozy. But unfortunately we have to continue through out our day despite the weather. So with that said, this little dress from A Divas Palace boutique was the perfect grab and go for a rainy chilly day along with my adorable bubble umbrella (which is my current obsession). This umbrella was a major steal for ($10) so I just had to buy it. I also threw on some chucks and a denim jacket, to add that sporty feel to the dress. This dress is really versatile and could be dressed down as I styled it, or dressed up with some heels. Also, how cute are the pearl earrings I have on?? They're this edgy teal color, that can add any statement to a simple pulled back pony tail. Thanks to my friends at Pearl & Clasp, you can now purchase a variety of affordable fresh water pearls, which I love!

Also, I have some exciting news coming up within the next week about my collaboration with RocksBox! I have a special treat for my readers. Stay tuned!

Muse takes on Premio Lo Nuestro

This past Thursday I had the great opportunity of being invited alongside Univision to the 'Premio Lo Nuestro' award show. Hosted in the heart of Miami at the American Airlines Arena, Premio Lo Nuestro is the longest running and most popular award show on Latin television, and all the winners were picked by the fans who had the opportunity to vote for their favorite artist(s). I was able to sit through the full dress rehearsal before the show took place along with other fellow online influencers. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I just wanted to include my readers on this first insiders look! Below I have posted a recap of rehearsals as we captured these amazing candid photos and my outfit details.

Nominees included artists like; Carlos Vives, Marc Anthony, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Wisin & Yandel, Enrique Iglesias (who led the pack with 10 nominations), and many more. Exciting announcements came from Ricky Martin as he performed a never heard song from his new album, meanwhile Pitbull and Gente De Zona opened up the show. I had so much fun attending, and getting a sneak peek into all the madness that goes on backstage. From all the camera crews, to the fast paced prompters, to the celebrities practicing on stage, I saw it all!

Get ready with me: A Galentines Valentine

So, one of my favorite holidays is tomorrow, Valentines day! Bring on the cheesy dates, the excessive amounts of roses, and the chocolate covered hearts, and the over sized teddy bears. This Valentines day, I'm calling it "Gal-entines day", because yes of course the bff's need lovin' too! I have decided to bring you into my getting ready process as I head out to my girls get together. All products used are listed below.

First, I like prepping my skin with a nice primer (not pictured) just to set the face for the foundation. For foundation I have stuck by my L'Oreal true match for the longest, as I truly believe its one of the best drugstore foundations. On the higher end of foundations, my go to would be the Dior Forever. They both honestly leave your skin flawless with a full coverage. To apply my foundation, I like using my Real Techniques stippling brush or the Sonia Kashuk kabuki brush. They are very affordable, and of great quality!

(I apply my concealer creating a triangle shape under my eyes)

(Blend, blend, blend your concealer. To do this, I use a blending sponge)

(Always apply bronzer to the hollow parts of your cheeks. I like to put bronzer on my temples, chin, and lightly on the outsides of my nose creating a soft contour)

(Always blend out your crease color to evenly match with your base color)

After my foundation is set in, I move on to concealer, bronzer, and setting powder. I love to set my concealer with a translucent powder as it provides full coverage throughout the day without having your concealer crease (major pet peeve!). Next, I move right along to eye shadow. This look is my everyday look, by the way. I take my naked basics with me everywhere I go. I like to apply a light base color, and then smoke out the crease with a warmer tone. I make sure to blend out the shadows with a good blending brush, no one wants harsh lines!

(Eye liners with a felt tip such as this one, help create the perfect cat eye without mess)

(I like to apply my Buxom Mascara first to add volume, then apply another coat of the Pur Big Lash mascara to maximize length - since the Pur mascara is infused with argon oil)

(When I fill in my brows, I like to lightly fill in any little gaps I may have-ladies please don't over do this part!)

Moving on to eye liner, (my favorite part!), I ALWAYS like to wing out my liner whether it be for an everyday outing or a special occasion. I just feel like a nice winged cat eye can do so much for your look! After I have perfected my liner, I go on to mascara and I usually take my time with this. Then, its on to the brows! I have thick eyebrows, and many often ask if they are filled in. I like to use all Anastasia brow products as they really serve the purpose for flawless eye brows. Great shaped brows are everything ladies!

(I always like to mess a little with my hair after I have finished ironing it, just to give it that extra volume and messy look)

On to hair, my everyday look is really simple. I don't get too complicated with my hair, and since I cut it short it requires less maintenance. I usually brush it out first, then use my favorite hair iron ever (listed below) as it leaves my hair looking sleek and shiny all day without creating frizz.

After all my face & hair is completed, I finish up by applying my go to nude lipstick, and spritz on one of my favorite scents ever Coco Chanel! I can never leave the house without perfume on.

Products used: L'Oreal True Match Foundation | Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer | Airspun Setting Powder | Lorac Tantalizer Bronzer | Urban Decay Naked Basics | L'Oreal Blockbuster Liner | Buxom Masara | Pur Mascara | Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow | Maybelline 'Blushing Beige' Lipstick | T3 Straightening Iron | Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Hope you enjoyed this special Valentines day look, and I will be bringing you some more beauty posts in the near future!

Lets get FIT

So, it's obviously the start of a new year and most of us make it a resolution to either lose weight, or start living a healthier lifestyle. Today I have teamed up with GAP to introduce to you their new workout line, "GAP Fit" and to share with you some of my tips & tricks to living a healthier lifestyle. All these are my own opinion, and just routines and lifestyle changes that have worked and still work for me.

I was a ballet dancer all my life up until senior year of high school. Unfortunately, college life kicked in and I had little to no time to keep dancing. It was a tough decision I made, but I knew if I left ballet (my only source of exercise) I had to promise myself I would retain a healthy lifestyle, and so I did. Below I have listed some everyday things I like to do to keep my mind and body healthy (yes, I like to keep my mind healthy too!)

1. Get a good rest - I know it's hard sometimes, but getting at least 9 hours of sleep every night can really make a difference.

2. Drink lots of water - I'm the first to admit that I'm really bad on drinking at least 8 glasses a day, but when I do remember, it's definitely beneficial.

3. Right meal choices - Throughout the week I attend to healthy meals, and I like to treat myself to at least 2 cheat meals on the weekend. I also don't eat meat, so I improvise by eating other sources like fish.

4. Take time for yourself - I do this every morning. I take some time to reflect and breathe. During this time, I like to pray. You can even do this in the car! Turn off that radio, and concentrate on you for at least a few minutes. Positive thoughts throughout your day can really switch up your mood.

5. Snack - I like to snack up to 3 times a day on fruits, granola, or even on homemade smoothies! This keeps me full until its time to eat a meal.

6. Portion control - Yes, its true... I still eat off kid meals! (when possible). Kid meals tend to be way smaller portions. The more you train your body to eat small, the more you will get used to it.

7. Exercise - take at least 30 min out of your schedule to work out. Some of my "at home" favorites are jump roping, or some simple ab workouts. I love to attend the Vixen Workout religiously when I can. Dancing is a great form of cardio, you burn calories while having fun and time passes by super fast! (P.S) I really don't like gyms... My adhd kicks in whenever I attend one, and I honestly cannot workout with a million other people. But hey, that's just me.

Xo.
