Trend Rush x The Fashion Muse

From the moment I walked through the door the 80's punk rock music greeted me as the Coachella inspired decoration made me feel right at home. Its like the 80's & 90's grunge era came together to make a baby and named it Trend Rush .  Miami's newest hottest boutique brings you "boho spirited, edgy attitudes, and cool ass chicks". Carrying popular brands such as WildFox, Blank NYC, Chaser, Kai Luxe, 8 other reasons and many more, what's not to love? Store owner Valerie brings spice and energy to her boutique, as so does the whole fabulous Trend Rush team.

Back to School

Early Starbucks infused mornings, obnoxious Miami traffic, and soccer mom's speeding from lane to lane can only mean one thing, its back to school! For some of us, early morning scrambles leave you getting to your first day of class looking like you just rolled out of bed, but sometimes a little effort won't hurt ;)

I chose to style my whole outfit based on +Forever 21 just because its always extra affordable for any student whether you're in high school or college. I've been mad about plaid lately as it's making a huge comeback for this fall season. Personally, I always like attending class in something comfortable, practical, and easy to pick out on mornings when I'm in a rush. That's what I loved about this whole outfit, because once you throw it on you're ready to go!

Up In the Clouds

What's the secret to the all white trend? Well if you're like me, I love wearing one solid colored outfits and the answer would have to be by mixing them with fun prints (especially animal ones) and textures (oh, and attempting to keep your outfit spiffy clean throughout the day). I really wanted to give a whole edge to this look because I'm not one to make my outfits very "girly" looking and Peplum tends to do that. I always have to input my personal edge to everything, so with that said I threw on this little white blazer over my shoulders. This is one of my favorite "go-to looks" when I want to spice up my outfit and give it a classic elegant appeal, it can really transform any look. This dress is one of my favorites! And even though its an oldie in my closet, its still a goodie.  Peplum is the type of style that can be worn and worked with every body type & occasion. I personally always adore this style because being Latina I've had to learn to love every curve and Peplum helps me by extenuating them and keeping them in control, that's all we ask for..right girls?!

There's nothing more I love than a chambray outfit and delicious macaroons. Even though this denim trend has been out for quite some time, I feel like its a classic staple to have in your closet whether it'd be in a shirt form, dress, or even a romper. When I style a look I always think ahead and plan on how that specific outfit can be transformed from day to night (just in case). The chambray texture is definitely one that is very versatile and it could be worn casually but it's basic enough to dress up as well. (Don't let this trend fool you, guys can pull chambray off as well!) As you can see, I styled this piece to a fresh daytime summer look since it's always SO hot here in Miami and added a hint of color just to bring out the girly girl in me.
