So, I feel like everyone is saying this but, I REALLY cannot believe its Christmas week. Like, where did this year go by? Flying obviously. I'm really excited to bring you this holiday look. I wanted to go for a more glam look this holiday season since Miami doesn't really get to experience a "white Christmas".

Every Christmas I get together with family, friends, and my loved ones to celebrate! Since I am from Cuban descent, we do celebrate Christmas eve also (in other words: Noche Buena). And guess what? I will also be heading to NYC right after Christmas to ring in the new year. Along with my festive trip to the big apple, comes a lot of blog posting! Yup, I will be shooting looks in the city, and I'm already bursting with ideas & finally sat down to plan them all. I am beyond anxious & excited for you guys to see what I have planned. Just like I did for my LA trip, I will be doing for NYC. Can we say, #musetakesnyc ??

I hope you all have an amazing Christmas filled with lots of love & happiness. Till next post! Merry Christmas from The Fashion Muse to you.

NUXE Skin Care: Indsiders look + First Impression + Review

So, this past Friday I was luckily invited with 10 other Miami bloggers to attend a ultra chic Parisian roof top brunch courtesy of Nuxe Skin Care. I was super excited to receive this special invitation just because I really love to educate myself on beauty & skin care brands, and so learning more about a brand such as NUXE was perfect and I was just dying to share all this with you including an insiders look at the brunch!

For starters, this brunch / presentation was every girls Parisian dream...... I felt so lucky to be part of it! Upon arrival, we were greeted with mimosas (the necessary), a cloud of beautiful flower arrangements, and chic Parisian inspired food.

NUXE is a skincare brand originated in Paris, France. The popular skin care brand, is one of the top selling brands in Europe, and it has also taken over the American market. You all know how obsessed I am with skin care routines. Ever since I was young, my mom always taught me the importance of taking care of your skin, especially for the future years to come. You skin is the one and only canvas you have forever. So, proper care is must! Thanks to NUXE, I got to update my morning + evening skin care routine with a couple of their best selling products. I went ahead and shot my favorite products from the brand, wrote my review on them, and how I have now incorporated them into my daily life.  See below for all product details.

  • Best selling product in the line ever
  • Multi purpose - could be used on hair, nails, body, makeup
  • I love blending this product with my foundation for a dewy glowing look
  • Smells amazing!

  • Creamy thick consistency
  • For daily use
  • I use it in the morning + night

  • Both are amazing & for night use only
  • The detox cream helps preserve the skin
  • Anti-aging eye cream is great for under eye circles
  • These two products together work miracles!

  • Makeup remover
  • I preferably like using it for the eye area (for the removal of mascara and eyeliner)
  • Rose water is great for the skin

Until next post,

Christmas Makeup Look with Lorac Mega PRO Palette

The start of the holiday season is here, and pretty soon it'll be Christmas! I wanted to shoot a holiday inspired makeup look for todays beauty post. I went ahead and used only colors straight from my new favorite palette, the Lorac Mega Pro 2. thanks to Ulta Beauty. This is a really simple look to achieve whether you're in a rush or taking your time.

I had my face set, and just simply concentrated on the eyes. But, I'm thinking of shooting my current face routine with some of my new favorite skin products, foundations, highlighters, and etc. I will have that up soon! See below for all details and product information regarding this look.

| PRODUCTS USED (all products can be found at Ulta Beauty) |
Eyes: Lorac Mega Pro 2 Palette (used colors: Forest & Black Ivy) | Liner: Loreal Liquid Liner | Lashes: Ardell "Wispie" Lashes | Brows: Ulta brow tint | Lips: NYX Matte Lipstick in "Shy" | Lips: Lorac Alter Ego lipgloss

I simply started by packing the color Forest on the lid of my eye. I like packing on the color instead of blending it in just because I want the color to really stand out. Forest is a beautiful hunter green with an amazing color pay off. After I worked on the lid, I moved along to the crease. On the crease, I blended in the color Black Ivy. Black Ivy is a mix between black an green, containing some shimmer. I took my blending brush and really worked that shadow into my crease in a windshield wiper motion. With dark colors, you really have to blend blend blend.....Until your hand falls off for that smokey effect.

Once I finished the shadows, I went ahead and added a nice bold cat eye with liquid liner (which is definitely a signature look of mine). Since I can't live without falsies, I added the only type of lash I ever use, the Ardell Wispies. I love the Wispies because they're natural & flared and add an extra touch to any eye look. I'm so obsessed with these, I even wear them with no shadow and they look just as good.

And, here it is! The final look. I love this for a nighttime Christmas party, and or even a New Years festivity. You can also pair this eye makeup with a dark lip, it'll look just as chic! I really loved shooting this as much as I love doing makeup and sharing my tips for you all!

Until next post

________________________________________________________________

Welcome back to the blog! So, a couple months back I revealed on my social media pages (click highlighted link to see the sketches!) that I had come together with a fellow blogger turned designer to create a one of a kind piece for the blog. Here it is!! After a month of design meetings and fittings, I was so excited to see the final product and my own creation become reality. In my long lost dreams, I really wish I knew how to sketch, sew, and pull amazing looks such as this one together. I cannot thank Alice Marie enough for letting me be her muse (pun, totally intended) & her hard work  on this piece.

About the look, when I came together with Alice I already had a vision of what I wanted. We both came up with 3 distinct looks that best portrayed my style & the blog. This two piece versatile romper was the winning choice and I was so happy it was. This romper / dress trend is so in right now, and SO versatile which I love. I really wanted to create two different looks in one. Some days, I'm the type of girl who wouldn't mind wearing a full on dress, and other days I like keeping my wardrobe simple. To me, simplicity & elegance is key. I also had the intention of creating a piece that any girl could wear. Best part if you ask me? The skirt is optional! Yup, you read right. The skirt in this piece is adjustable and you can take It off and have a completely different look. As for the color, I always stick to neutrals and earthy type colors. Besides, have you guys found out that the Pantone color of the year is "Rose Quartz"?! This Rose Quartz inspired outfit came in a perfect time for the announcement.

I really hope you enjoyed this look, as much as I enjoyed the whole process watching it come to life. Stay tuned next week for a special holiday look!

Until next post,
