The start of the holiday season is here, and pretty soon it'll be Christmas! I wanted to shoot a holiday inspired makeup look for todays beauty post. I went ahead and used only colors straight from my new favorite palette, the Lorac Mega Pro 2. thanks to Ulta Beauty. This is a really simple look to achieve whether you're in a rush or taking your time.
I had my face set, and just simply concentrated on the eyes. But, I'm thinking of shooting my current face routine with some of my new favorite skin products, foundations, highlighters, and etc. I will have that up soon! See below for all details and product information regarding this look.
| PRODUCTS USED (all products can be found at Ulta Beauty) |
Eyes: Lorac Mega Pro 2 Palette (used colors: Forest & Black Ivy) | Liner: Loreal Liquid Liner | Lashes: Ardell "Wispie" Lashes | Brows: Ulta brow tint | Lips: NYX Matte Lipstick in "Shy" | Lips: Lorac Alter Ego lipgloss
I simply started by packing the color Forest on the lid of my eye. I like packing on the color instead of blending it in just because I want the color to really stand out. Forest is a beautiful hunter green with an amazing color pay off. After I worked on the lid, I moved along to the crease. On the crease, I blended in the color Black Ivy. Black Ivy is a mix between black an green, containing some shimmer. I took my blending brush and really worked that shadow into my crease in a windshield wiper motion. With dark colors, you really have to blend blend blend.....Until your hand falls off for that smokey effect.
Once I finished the shadows, I went ahead and added a nice bold cat eye with liquid liner (which is definitely a signature look of mine). Since I can't live without falsies, I added the only type of lash I ever use, the Ardell Wispies. I love the Wispies because they're natural & flared and add an extra touch to any eye look. I'm so obsessed with these, I even wear them with no shadow and they look just as good.
And, here it is! The final look. I love this for a nighttime Christmas party, and or even a New Years festivity. You can also pair this eye makeup with a dark lip, it'll look just as chic! I really loved shooting this as much as I love doing makeup and sharing my tips for you all!
Until next post
