In Miami, we have our own unique type of fall.....Unfortunately, for those (like myself) that are obsessed with fall & winter wardrobes the climate here makes it really tough to even wear a light sweater! So today, I wanted to put my little spin on the Miami fall season in collaboration with Coach.

When the team over at Coach sent me this bag as part of their fall collection, I was so excited! This specific handbag also happens to be the face of the fall collection; consider it the "It" or "Must have" piece. Everything about it screamed autumn to me & I loved the fact of how much of an elegant statement it made. Coach has really re-vamped their collections making most pieces sleek & clean (I'm also not a huge fan of big brand logos all over handbags or anything for that matter).

Since velvet & suede are both trending for the season, I wanted to pair my palm velvet tie skirt with the suede detail that the inside of the handbag has. Also, the burnt orange tones are major! It's really shocking that I wear a color like this, because I'm usually not a fan of oranges nor yellows.....But I couldn't help it but falling for a pumpkin colored top, it just seemed so appropriate!

If you live in a hot climate state like me, what's your favorite fall statement piece to incorporate into your outfits? I'd have to say, mine is definitely a good handbag!

Ruffle Statement Pant

Statement pants are everything! When I was recently in NYC for NYFW I spotted so many types of statement styled pants that it left me in awe (and of course wanting my own pair).

Today, I have teamed up with Go Jane to bring you my take on these major statement makers. Funny story, when I was little and the movie Selena came out, I was obsessed with all of her outfits. But, there was this pair of purple wide legged ruffles bottom pants that she wore that literally drove me crazy (in a good way - of course). She did not only rock the heck of out of those pants, but she began a trend way back then & now it's coming back around!

Fun tip: since these pants are mesh, they came with their own pair of biker shorts underneath attached (this smart aspect made the pants so comfy).

My satin fever continues....and so does the over layering trend. Welcome back to the blog! It was my birthday this past weekend, and I had such a great time ringing in 23! I looked back on a lot, and I really can't believe I started off this amazing platform when I was just 20 years old.....It's insane how much you can grow within 3 years of time (personally & professionally)

Anyways, I had a interesting conversation with my cousin this past weekend regarding trends, and how they all evolve. She happens to be in the fashion industry as well (it's quite funny how we both ending up in the same career track). We both agreed that the trends are leaning to a more minimalistic view, and how the 90's are taking over. I couldn't agree more! Minimal is everything (as less is sometimes or always more), and it actually makes it easier & more versatile to style.

As you can see clearly from this outfit post, the 90's are still dominating. The silk and the over layering is something you can't avoid these days. Also, remember how much I loved styling athleisure looks? I still love it, and in this case I mixed in the sporty vibes with the whole look. This happens to be a great example of mixing and matching trends, and I could easily add some sneakers to this look for a more casual look. But, I couldn't help but to style these velvet booties with it (I feel like these yeezy inspired booties is all I wear now).

How do you feel about trends evolving into a more minimalistic side?

Lip Fillers: My experience

Photography: Christine Michelle

"Making you beautiful from the outside in" she said. Welcome back to today's new beauty post! As you know, as a blogger I love sharing so many sides of myself, whether it'd be in fashion, beauty, or lifestyle. Today I am sharing a personal side of me, a side that may reflect many opinions but only one opinion being taken into count, mine. Yes, I got lip fillers. I have been so looking forward to sharing this experience with you all, and hopefully maybe getting some facts cleared, and questions
answered.

I teamed up with Miami Plastic Surgery & Paula Brezavcek (my lip guru, and the guru behind so many lips). Meanwhile Paula Brezavcek is a woman of many talents, her favorite specialty is perfecting the lips. "It's like an art, and I like to think I'm an artist" said Paula. That's when I knew I was in great hands.

While many think 23 years old is quite young for these type of procedures, I like to think not. I have always been concerned about how my face & skin looked and the positive benefits I can invest in early enough to help the process. So, lets get started!

WARNING: My amazing photographer was able to capture the procedure entirely, with that said....Needles are involved in the following photos.

At the start of our session, Paula went ahead and examined what she suggested we'd do and then proceeded to ask me my concerns and what type of lip I was interested in (natural, pouty, filled? All up to your personal opinion) Although she always loves keeping the pout natural, she will work around your liking. The entire process is quick, and takes up about 30-45min.

In the photo above, my lips are set with numbing cream. This cream is left on for about 15min and although it does burn a bit, it really blocks out any pain the actual lip injection may cause (SO thankful for this numbing cream)

Now, for the real reality: getting swollen, burning sensations, bruising, and bleeding are prone to happening. Fortunately enough, I do not bruise, but I do get some what swollen (ice packs become your best friend). Below: I have answered some questions that you all asked me on snapchat regarding the process.....

Does it hurt?: Honestly, what cosmetic procedure doesn't hurt? While getting lip fillers isn't a torturing pain (at least for me it isn't) the best way I can describe it is by comparing it to a mosquito bite on your lip! A quick little pinch and some burning sensation. The only sensitive area that did hurt a little more was when the filler was injected towards the center of both the bottom & top lip. Side note: the center of your lips contain the nerves.

What type of filler did you get, and how long does it last?: I got Juvederm; as for the lasting effects, lip fillers can last up to 6-7 months. With that said, Paula recommends coming back every 3 months for a quick touch up (perfecting the lip- as she likes to call it) just to train the lips to the size you like.

Do you see immediate results?: Yes. Remember, Juvederm is in liquid form and like the title states; your lips are essentially being "filled" with the product. Although, you often do get swollen for about two days after your procedure, you can really see the true results after about a week.

When is it too much?: This question is really up to the patient, but in my session we used half of a syringe. When I go back after my 3 months, the other half will be used. Paula always suggests starting off slow, over doing it can really result in botched looking lips sometimes.

After all, I'm so happy I made the decision of getting lip fillers (and with the right team of professionals). I have never been insecure about the way I looked, nor did I ever think I needed cosmetic procedures done because it was the happening or currently trending "thing". Although, thanks to Ms Jenner, she made lips a trending topic.

I truly believe that woman should be open to improving certain aspects about themselves, and if it makes them feel better about them entirely, great! I have always been open minded to this topic, and I like to say my mother always instilled this mindset on me. This society does not simply show woman to dislike their image, it teaches them too.  These are all personal decisions we make for our selves and they should be solely be based on our self. Never make these kind of decisions based on someone else's opinion of you. We live in such a cut throat generation, but girl, don't do it for them...Do it for you!

Huge thank you to the team at Miami Plastic Surgery, and to the incredible Paula Brezavscek, PA-C for helping me feel my most beautiful.

Happy Monday! It feels great being back on the blog, since it feels like my last post was ages ago. Sometimes I just need a little break from what feels like an eternity. But, honestly...Working as a blogger means you spend most of your time on social media, and that can really get to you! It feels so great to tune away from all the noise going on in our world sometimes, and focus on yourself for a bit. Especially the noise that the world of social media brings.

Anyways, it seems like the "I'm with the band" look happens to be everywhere this season! and yep, I'm totally loving it. About two weeks ago I posted three possible looks on my snap chat, and asked all of you to help me pick which one would make the blog, and this was the favorite choice.

Side note: I love pairing graphic tees with pretty much anything. I styled it with this leather mini, but I'm also planning on pairing it with a statement skirt I have. Mixing casual with not so casual pieces really gives a look a refreshing twist. I got a ton of edgy rocker vibes after attending the Rebecca Minkoff runway show during fashion week. Her whole collection was based on this whole theme! And, you all know how much I love talking about versatility. I could easily pair this with some black knee high boots for a fun nigh time look! But, if you noticed....I can't get enough of these platform sneakers. I can't believe they were just $10! So, I just had to post about them - major steal.

Until next post,

Xo
