Obsessed would be an understatement for this look, and I feel like it describes me perfectly (sassy & all). With the holidays approaching (way too quickly), I wanted to pull together a "Miami winter" look. Yes, for us Floridians this is our winter attire! Simple yet chic, there's something about adding long fur vests to outfits that automatically make them posh. Adding an extra element to your look can totally uplift it. The best part of adding that element is the versatility. You'll be able to wear the look with or without it and it'll look just as great.

I really wanted to go for that New York City vibe since I will be traveling up to the big apple for the holidays, but I definitely gave it the Miami flair since it's still like 100' degrees out. After all, you can take the girl out of Miami but you cant take Miami out of her!

Thank you so much for reading! Until next post.

Balmain x HM

So, a couple of weeks back Balmain launched their collaboration with H&M and it was a total sell out! (as planned). Balmain has been one of my favorite brands since I could remember with designer Olivier Rousteing leading the Balmain army. I adore the brand for the fact that it celebrates strong women and its totally visible in their designs.

Luckily, I was able to make a one and only one purchase from this limited edition collaboration. Waking up at 7am and over refreshing the page definitely worked after the H&M site took a major crash as it launched at its 8am scheduled time. For those wondering, the collaboration between the two brands was considered to have been scaled down to a "more affordable" range of prices for the everyday shopper. In my opinion, I totally thought the collection was not affordable for the daily H&M shopper, but compared to Balmain's normal prices items the collaboration could really be considered affordable. The prices ranged between $35-$800 approx.

I really wanted to give the classic Balmain tshirt a little twist by adding leather and just keeping the whole outfit in black. You can never go wrong with black! The lettering on the shirt is a little hard to distinguish, but its black velvet so it really wasn't translating well on the photos.

Sadly, the collection is no longer available as everything sold out the day of, so it was really hard for me to find and link some of my favorite pieces from the collection to show you all on the blog. Hopefully another exciting collaboration between two amazing brands will launch again.

Until next post,

A Monochrome Classic

Duster Vest: Boohoo (ON SALE $10) | Leather Shorts: Forever 21 (Similar here) | Shoes: Shoedazzle

Today's look is simple, but a classic. Black and white never go out of style, so I figured to give the old time classic staple a little twist & edge. Like I said in my previous post, I'm obsessed with this duster vest / coat trend. This one specifically is more of a vest, but it's the type of piece that you can pair up with an everyday work outfit and easily turn it into a night time piece.

Now, If you know me you may know I am a major shoe lover. For me, shoes can be such statement pieces. Since we are mentioning statement pieces, these new babies from Shoe Dazzle are a fab find! Besides, who can beat the affordable prices shoe dazzle offers? These fringed laced up heels are a new favorite.

As always, thank you for stopping by & the continued support. I also have a little update regarding The Beauty Muse. You guys have been so awesome & have completely supported all my beauty posts and it just gives me more of an initiative to continue in the beauty field. I am currently picking out lighting and equipment for my filming room, and I cannot wait to start filming for You tube!

Until next post,

Fall Waves with Ulta Beauty

Welcome back to the blog! What better way than to start a Monday with a hair tutorial? I am thrilled to bring you this collaboration alongside Ulta Beauty, recreating one of my favorite go-to looks for fall and the holidays. I am also super excited to be debuting the BeachWaver rotating ceramic curling iron. Yup, you heard right. This curling iron does the rotating of the curl for you so you wont have to. With very simple steps and up to 410 degrees in temperature, this hair iron lets you transform your hair into 3 amazing looks; The Beach Wave, The Old Hollywood Glam wave, and the Tight Curls and or any other wave you may have in mind.

I went ahead and recreated this old Hollywood hair look that I absolutely love. If you have been following my blog for a while you'd know that this is my signature look. There's nothing better than soft bouncy beach waves.  I've broken down the tutorial into 10 easy steps. See below for all the details and product info! Lets get started:

Beach Waver c/o Ulta Beauty

1. I always like to curl my hair after 2-3 days of washing it. Creating a curl that lasts can be difficult with freshly clean hair. To start, make sure your hair is fully dried and brushed through.
Also, I like to set the iron at 350' degrees, just so I wont damage my hair as much with the higher levels of heat.

2. Section hair and leave a minor back part down. This process will help with curling the hair neatly.

3. Always start with the bottom pieces, curl them outward. I like creating tight curls at the beginning, the tighter the curl the longer it'll last.

4. Repeat sectioning & curling hair outward. With the BeachWaver you have the ability of just pressing the outward pointing arrow on the iron and let it do the rotating of the hair for you.

5. Once you reach the top layer, part the hair to whichever side you prefer. For this look, I love a deep parted side.

6. All upper layer pieces should be curled towards the face. Meanwhile, all the pieces towards the back of your head remain getting curled outward (away from the face).

7. Once you have completed curling hair, pull one chunk of hair behind your ear and leave the other side as is.

8. Next, tease the front pieces of your hair on the side that you did not pull back behind the ear. Teasing will add volume to the root, and it will give you that side swept hair at the end.

 9. Lightly, use hairspray to spray all over hair. I love using this Treseme strong hold spray because it really holds my hair look all day, and it doesn't leave it looking stiff. After you have sprayed your hair, I like brushing out the curls for the effect of soft delicate waves (this is a major step in this look). You never want the ending result to be tight "Shirley Temple" curls.

 10. Lastly, brush out the tease softly and use hairspray. Once my look is completed, I like adding a couple of drops of hair shine oil, or hair BB cream. By doing that, your hair will look softer, have a shine, and the look will hold up longer throughout the day or night.

What is your favorite go -to fall / holiday hair look?

I hope this hair tutorial was helpful & enjoyable! Until next post.
