I finally got around to working on this post, after much request for it! As I sit here writing this, I am traveling to go visit family for the holidays! Like most of us can attest to, traveling can be very stressful at times. Besides the check list of things to pack and take on a trip, getting to the airport looking & feeling comfy (and cute) is at the top of my list.

When traveling, I like to go in clothing I know I will be comfortable in especially if I will be on a long flight (For example, you’ll never catch me traveling in jeans!). There’s always certain things I will make sure to bring with me at the airport…socks being one of them! I really despise the thought of having to go through security barefoot, or even have my feet feel cold on the plane.

Below I have created an essentials list of certain items I ALWAYS never forget to pack into my carry on (which is usually a back pack I can quickly throw on and go).

-          Head phones (I like taking my smallest size or airpods – it’s easy to pack in)

-          Sanitizing Wipes (Planes are so dirty!)

-          ZQuil (For long flights, this helps me fall asleep + it’s non- habit forming)
-          Facial Mask or under eye mask (I don’t care how crazy I look, but I always have to apply a paper one every flight or even road trip because my skin gets so dry on planes)
-          Facial Spray to refreshen (Mario Badescu Aloe& amp; Cucumber is my favorite – I take the mini version)
-          Water (I always buy huge bottle before boarding because I love having my own bottle at all times)
-          Travel size wallet (Mine is GIGI NY and its so easy to just stick my identification in and cards)
-          Passport & Passport holder (If I’m flying internationally)
-          IPhone charger (I carry all my books on my phone as ebooks – I like using audible)

Cynthia Rowley x The Fashion Muse

| SHOP MY LOOK |
Tweed Fringe Jacket c/o Cynthia Rowley (I'm wearing an XS) | Tweed Fringe Mini Skirt c/o Cynthia Rowley (wearing size 2- but could have gone for the 0)

Photography: Coco Michelle

I've had a lot of collaborations that I easily considered my favorites, but this by far tops them all. I have partnered up with renown fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, and I couldn't be more excited about it!

I picked out a few favorite pieces from Cynthia's current collection, but this was the first piece that stood out. There's something about a tweed set that screams Cher Horowitz with a mix of Chanel.

Along with this blog post, I will be hosting an event at Cynthia Rowley's limited time pop up store in the Miami Design District. This pop up opened it's doors during Art Basel week, and I get to initiate it's first in store party! (I know, I'm low key freaking out...)

If you're in the mood for some cocktails, fashion illustrations, and (of course) CR's collection, come join me!

When: Today, December 19th
Time: 6-8pm
Where: Cynthia Rowley Miami Design District
140 NE 39th St
Suite PC117
Miami, FL 33137

You can also RSVP HERE

Frills & Pearls

| SHOP MY LOOK |
Frill Sweater c/o Lola Shoetique | Pearl Embellished Jeans (SOLD OUT) (SIMILAR HERE) c/o Lola Shoetique | Clear heels c/o Lola Shoetique
(Use code: MUSE15 to get a discount off your next Lola Shoetique purchase)

It's finally sweater weather season! Oh, and it must be the season for pearls too. The official winter statement is everything and anything that has to do with pearl embellishments. Whether they're put on denim, tops, and even bags, you need to go get yourself some pearl embellished pieces, like yesterday!

For the past three days, Miami has finally had a taste of delicious cold weather (59 degrees to be exact), that's our winter....but hey I'm not hating it. It gave me the opportunity to bring out some super chic sweaters and tops like the one pictured! I've been holding off on wearing this exact top for the perfect moment where the weather was appropriate and I could simply sit out and sip on my chai latte.

I hope you get around to checking out the pearl trend, and remember me when you do!

Until next post,

Blazer Remixed

| SHOP MY LOOK |
Blazer  c/o Miss Pap (use code: MUSE10 for a discount) | Boots c/o Public Desire | Bag c/o Charming Charlie (Similar)

It's official, blazers are back! Blazers definitely had a moment some years back, but they are stealing the scene again with a styling difference (and honestly, its my favorite type of way wearing it)- OVERSIZED.

Since I'm petite, there's nothing better than a well tailored blazer dress (or any dress in general). I also love finding staples that also fit for work wear pieces that could double as a dress and a jacket blazer you'd wear normally.

Until next post,

His & Hers: Transitional Feels

Welcome to a new series on the blog that I am super stoked about - his & hers. I love having certain series' (like everyone's favorite: "looks for less") that I could go back to, constantly create content for, and hopefully inspire (whether you're the girlfriend buying your significant other clothing, or just the boyfriend wanting to get some insights).

I'm always looking for new ways to expand & reinvent the blog, and creating a his & hers series has always been on my to do list (yes, I do have a check list of ideas and goals!). In all honesty, the idea of creating this series always seemed really simple, except we had one minor (I'd say major) little issue- we had no HIM! And, as many attempts it took to try to photograph a his and hers style guide with a friend, or even my brother (yes...my brother) I just could never achieve the vision I always had in my mind for something like this. Well, fast forward some months...and here we are!

I decided to start this series pretty simple but yet stick to our individual styles and our daily lifestyle. Andy loves getting dressed up whether it's casual or not, he likes to mix in his athletic side with everything trendy.
____________
A little about us

Both Andy and myself are in similar industries (I guess that's why we understand each other so well), he is the film world as a producer and director and you can also find him as a fitness guru on Instagram and YouTube (yup, you guessed it...I have my own personal trainer now). Although we are now a couple, we've known of each other for quite some time and as a bloggers dream would have it, social media brought us together - cliché enough.
_________________

With that said, we wanted to create a coordinated look together that could let us go for a brunch in the morning and even go for some drinks at night. I added the duster coat for a more day time city feel which gives me the ability to just take it off and be left with a feminine mini dress for the night time. He matched it up with the light wash jeans (for daytime) and balanced it out with a hint of dark brown in his shoes (for night).

We are so excited to be finally creating content together and hopefully be bringing some inspo to the couples out there (however we are also learning along the way). Our his and hers series will be made up of not only outfit posts; but lifestyle, Q&A's, and most importantly our journey together.

Until next post,

Parisian Chic: Look for less

Since we are in the midst of fashion week season (Paris Fashion Week is happening this week) I felt drawn towards all the street style trends I have been paying close attention to and catching up with. As you may or may not know, I am a huge sucker for "looks for less" and I often recreate designer inspired outfits into the affordable versions for blog posts!

| SHOP MY LOOK|
Polka Dot Mesh Top c/o Lasula Boutique | Crop Top Bustier: Forever 21(Sold Out - Similar here) | Flair Bottom Pants c/o Lasula Boutique | Beret: Forever 21 or Diva Boutique

It's no surprise that Parisian chic is all over the place now, with dreamy jaw dropping looks from Dior - this look was inspired by the designers latest Parisian feminine vibes.

I had originally styled this look with a simple leather bralette under the mesh top, but when I found this Dior bustier dupe, I knew this would make the perfect match.

I love recreating designer looks for less!

Until next post,
